Anke first joined the Education Committee in 2018 through Ahold Delhaize. She led the initiative called "Breakthrough Barriers," where we explored some key barriers that keep women from advancing their careers. She designed several workshops for members to explore these barriers and co-create solutions.
After a sabbatical, Anke returned to the Education Committee in mid-2019. Since then, she has been very involved in building the concept and business case and designing the Inclusive Leadership Programme. Anke was the project manager and led the work on communication for this initiative up to the pilot.
Anke has been a strong contributor and an absolute joy to have on the Education Committee. She role models inclusive behaviors, highly committed, always delivers on the work she takes on. She's a team player, and she brings a positive mindset to any meeting or team. Anke's passion for diversity and inclusion and learning and development, combined with her hands-on approach, has been extremely valuable to our committee's work.
While we fully understand her reason for stepping down from her role as a volunteer, she'll be hugely missed by everyone on the team. Anke will be starting a new job in Learning & Development at Kite Pharma in November, and we wish her all the very best for this new adventure and the next step in her career.
Thank you, Anke Sunaert, for your contributions and support to the Education Committee of the LEAD Network!
