The LEAD Network CEO Pledge aims to rally the CPG and retail industry to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The CEO Pledge outlines a specific set of actions CEOs will take to cultivate a trusting environment where courageous conversations about ways to create inclusive cultures truly are welcomed. Some of these actions are: educate employees about the negative impact of bias on retention, development, and advancement of women; Institute a diverse slating process committed to always selecting the best talent; and requiring 50% of those considered to be diverse and to continue to coach and mentor female & diverse employees, while also increasing sponsoring.
The CEO Pledge aims for a significant increase in female representation and director level and above and building a plan to achieve gender parity over the next decade.
